| Where are Presidents Obama's College Classmates? | | I received an email that asked the question where are President Obama's Friends? It seems that every president has had classmates come forward to tell of their encounters with him. Senator Kerry had the Swift Boat people both those who opposed him but also those who supported him. It seems that all we know about the President is what he told us in his books. His college records, law work, and state senate records are sealed. Which lead the writer of the email to ask is he the man who never was? I would be interested to know if any of the MyLotters graduated or attended Columbia University during the period of 1982-1984 or who attended Occidental College from 1980 to 1982 ever had Barack Obama in class with them or saw him around campus? | |
| | Presidents | | I just have to share this with you. But first i would like to know, who is providing for your countries president and his family? Obviously the taxpayer. Well, we as taxpayers have to start forking out a bit more than usual, as our president decided that 5 wifes and 19 children are not enough. He had an affair and now he has another daughter, but luckily for him, he doesn,t have to pay for anything. I wonder if he ever heard of the words too many, can honestly be too much? | |
| | three United states presidents united for Haiti | | i was really suprised to see george bush, president obama and bill clinton standing on the same podium and uniting to stand with haiti in its period of disaster, i do believe that political differences should not hinder our leaders from doing the right thing, wether republican or democrat | |

| American Presidents Series | | I've been reading some of these of and on. The books are all about 180 pages long and hit the high (and low) points in the president's life and adminstration. The books tend to give you insights about the presidents that didn't get covered in school. This is especially good for some of the 'minor' presidents (like John Tyler or Zachary Taylor) who don't really get covered in history classes. | |
| | Unintended Consequences Do the Presidents people even think about this? | | When a policy made or changed or a speech is given many times there are unintended consequences. For example when the President and members of Congress criticized business executives for flying on Corporate Jets during difficult economic times, they never thought that it would lead to canceling of orders for Corporate jest which resulted in the layoff of tens of thousands of workers in the air plane business and the people who worked in those communities. Later when the President was bashing business he said that companies should not hold conventions in cities like Las Vegas or Orlando, instead hold them in Detroit or Milwaukee where unemployment is high. Las Vegas lost over 400 conventions and forced major layoff of hotel, casino and restaurants workers. Now he is trying illegal enemy combatants in Civilian Courts and sentencing them to US prisons. Many of the home grown terrorists were converted or recurited in the US Prisons. Are we going to be the new recruiter for terrorists? | |

| Obama Shatters Spending Record for 1ST-Year Presidents OUT SPENDS BUSH & CLINTON | | President Obama has shattered the budget record for first-year presidents -- spending nearly double what his predecessor did when he came into office and far exceeding the first-year tabs for any other U.S. president in history. In fiscal 2009 the federal government spent $3.52 trillion -- $2.8 trillion in 2000 dollars, which sets a benchmark for comparison. That fiscal year covered the last three-and-a-half months of George W. Bush's term and the first eight-and-a-half months of Obama's. That price tag came with a $1.4 trillion deficit, nearly $1 trillion more than last year. The overall budget was about a half-trillion more than Bush's for 2008, his final full fiscal year in office.
