Daily Discussions on Republican Party Elephant Bobblehead| A call form the republican party. Funny story from last year. Not for GW fans. | | While at my girlfriends house the phone rang and it came up republican something or other. My girlfriend who tries to not even mention the word politics around me laughs and says this must be meant for you and hands the phone to me. Of course I only too willingly answer it and say hello. The woman says this is so and so and we are calling to talk to Mary, I says "yes this is Mary"...lol, off to a good start already. Than she goes on to say she is taking a poll and wants my opinion on the presidents first year in office. She begins to ask me a series of questions asking my evaluation on things as being poor, fair and good. Of course to push the limits of things I have to keep throwing in things like "well at least he hasn't gotten us into any more wars over lies about weapons of mass destruction". After about 10 minutes the woman simply gives up says thank you for your time and hangs up. The funny thing was every answer I gave she kept pushing for low or fair and seemed unwilling to even mention good as acceptable. Of course I know all about Obama's faults and if it would have been democrats I would have thrown those out there as well but since it was republican group I couldn't...

| | So Who is really running the republican party? | | Many people have been asking this question after the last election. There seams to be a split between the memebers of the RNC, and the majority of republicans. Michael Steele is the actual leader of the RNC, last night on CNN when asked about who really ran the RNC said he did. But, many believe that Rush Limbaugh is the leader, and has more support than any other republican. Who do you think is really leading the Republican Party? The funny thing was every answer I gave she kept pushing for low or fair and seemed unwilling to even mention good as acceptable. Of course I know all about Obama's faults and if it would have been democrats I would have thrown those out there as well but since it was republican group I couldn't help but get a few jabs in there. Have you ever had either party call you to try to take a poll? | |
| | Illinois Republican Party - PETITION | | I received an e-mail from the Illinois Reublican Party yesterday stating their thoughts on the appointment of Roland Burris by our former crooked governor - Blagojevich. In the e-mail was a link to go to sign their petition for Illinois to hold a special election for the senate seat vacated by Obama. I signed it and I would encourage everyone from Illinois to go to their site and sign the petition so that we are not stuck with someone appointed by a crook - and the person filling that senate seat will be the choice of the Illinois people - lets get Illinois back on track. Burris can run if he wants to but let the people decide. | |
| | Another three audacties by the republican party .... AGAIN | | Today I was watching CSPAN televising two bills being discussed about recognizing veterans of Iwo Jima and of the Cold War.Audacity number one - while the democrats were honouring the veterans, the republicans used each opportunity to bring up the healthcare vote, which they will be debating tomorrow. The democrats were polite, acknowledged that there will be some debate which they will do tomorrow, but right now, they were there to discuss fallen heroes, and those who survived as prisoners of war. Time and time again, at least ten times in the hour I was watching, the republican party dishonoured the veterans by constantly bringing up their distate for the healthcare bill. ----Audacity number two - the proposer of the bill # 925 said something so important: During George W Bush's reign, the VA ran out of money the last June he worked. The democrats did everything they could to get money for the veterans, I think in the sum of a $2 billion bill. One republican sided with them, and all the other republicans stripped him of his chairmanship. Now, the republicans are crying some bs lies about this universal healthcare coverage cutting care for our veterans. | | | "Tea Party" More Popular Than Democratic or Republican Party... | | According to a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll the "Tea Party" movement is more popular with the public than either of the major political parties with a net-positive 41-23 percent score, which means 41% of those polled viewing it positively and 23% negatively. The GOP has a net-negative rating of 28% positive with 43% negative and the Democrats, for the first time in more than two years also have a net-negative rating of 35-45%. 76% of those who get their news from Fox view the Tea Party favorably with only 4% negatively. That's much different from how viewers of CNN and MSNBC view the movement; with 36% viewing it negatively and only 24% positively. Viewers of mostly broadcast TV - the major networks - are split 28-27%.Read more here: http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/12/16/2154426.aspxIt seems that the Republicans are trying to reach out to the teapartiers, at least some of them are. I've heard more than one commentator on TV claim that if the GOP and Tea Party merged they'd really trounce the Democrats. I'm not so sure. Am I wrong when I say the teaparty movement has been taken over pretty much by the far right and that they may not be very... | |
| | Talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh says the Republican Party has a death wish | | Both leading parties are death to the United States if they had any shame they would be hiding their faces,if I thought a third party who was conservative with decent morals I would surely vote for that person but Washington D.C. is and has been for a long time for sale 24-7 the third party candidates would have to have endless millions going in and I don't think none of them have that kind of money.
In my opinion the American people put the last nail in all our coffins this last election and the future is millions of miles away from any thing that looks like hope.
Has Washington D.C. cleaned up in the pass year not even in our dreams,is it more transparent not even close.
I'm not a Rush Limbaugh radio fan but I do agree with him the liberal republicans for sake of greed and self they as the liberal democrats have all brought death to the United States seven folds, what say you?(Rush Limbaugh TALK RADIO)Talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh says the Republican Party has a death wish – and is as dangerous to the United States as the Democrat Party and its czars.Limbaugh's comments came today as he was discussing the race for Congress in New York's 23rd district, where...
| | Civil War has broken out in the Republican Party,~ Sarah Palin~ Tim Pawlenty | | Have you been following the candidates in the 23rd Congressional District of New York,do you have a early prediction of the out come on Nov 3,2009?(Sarah Palin & Tim Pawlenty shaking it up)(Oct. 26, 2009) —First Sara Palin broke ranks and endorsed the candidate who was not the Republican; now Tim Pawlenty, Governor of Minnesota has followed her lead. It’s increasingly evident that a civil war has broken out in the Republican Party, and the Republican conservatives are leading the fight. The battle ground on which each side is testing its weapons is the NY special election in the 23rd Congressional District (Syracuse) on Nov. 3, next Tuesday, which will choose a replacement for Congressman McHugh. The commanders on the ground are Republican Dede Scozzafava (Sicilian for “bean-husk”) and Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman (German for “house-butler”). Democrat Bill Owens is running against both. Hoffman is currently in the lead in the polls.Dough Hoffman was dismissed as a long shot, until just recently, when a new poll put him in first place. Erick Erikson of Redstate has been leading a grassroot-conservative effort of Republicans in support of... | |
