This Political Animation Is So Funny. It Features Obama, Bush, McCain, Clinton.
I just saw this on MSNBC. It's a political animation about the current Presidential campaign. I think it makes a lot of sense even though it's kind of a satire.Let's take a break from debating the election and have a laugh. Tell me what you think about this clip. Here is the link:http://sendables.jibjab.com/sendables/1191/time_for_some_campaignin#/teaser/1191P.S. This clip makes fun of all the candidates.Lloyd
What will happen concerning the war in Iraq if Hillary Clinton gets voted in?
What will happen concerning the war in Iraq if Hillary Clinton gets voted in office? Will the world become a better place? Can she dig us out from under what Bush has done? Or would she be taking the fall because of what Bush has done already? What about Obama?
Do You Ever Wonder?
How people 100 years or 200 years from now will be talking about OUR history? Does it kind of weird you out a bit? Does it fascinate you to know that one day (regardless of your political affiliations) people will be reading textbooks with Obama, Bush, Palin, McCain in them??? To me, I'm fascinated, but it makes me feel weird as well.

October: ParaTed2k's (Not So) Famous $5 Giveaway Game
Last month I started a game where I offered a $5 prize to the person who could come up with the funniest ACORN Acronym. Congratulations again to Betsyraeduke for winning that one! I know I said that they all wouldn't be political, and they won't, but this one will be.This one goes with my new position, teaching guitar as part of an afterschool program at a local elementary school. I wrote an article about it, poking fun at the teachers who abuse their position to spread their left wing political views in the classroom. Here at the Giveaway Game I thought it would be fun to continue that spirit of satire.Write a couple of verses of lyrics that you would incorporate into a song you might use to teach elementary kids your political views. Left, right, moderate, whatever. It can satirize Obama, Bush, or even supporters of either. Ground rules... no words that can't pass MyLot censors... if you try to get past them with zeros for "O", "$" for S or "@" for a, you won't get past me. If you try it, you might make me laugh, but you will also be disqualified. I'm the only judge, and my judgement...

MLB All Star game, Obama and past presidents
The MLB All star game is on right now, don't know how many baseball fans are on mylot...... but President Obama is going to be throwing the first pitch and there was also a really great feature this year that there are 30 extra All stars who are just extraordinary people who give back to America through various ways, one woman has a company called "Knots for Love" where she knits caps for cancer victims...another is a 17 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy but he still manages to be a straight A student AND started his own charity for Cerebral Palsy. I got all choked up listening to these stories[em]cry[/em], because these people are just going above and beyond. Obama, Bush jr, Clinton, Bush Sr., and Carter spoke about a few of these extra "All Stars" and Obama encourages people to go to http://www.service.gov/ where you can find a volunteer service near you.I put this on the politics section not only because it involves presidents, but also because I think that it is important to remember that what makes American so great is not left or right, democrats or republicans or anything in between...its made great by people like those 30 extra All Stars who strive to help others....
And another blow to US sovereignty.
I had no idea that the G20 meeting was about this! I listened to as much of Bush's speech as I could and what I heard was about capitalism, NOT about giving a foreign entity, who is not elected by the people, the power to demand changes in our economic policy! What was Bush thinking? BUSH'S LEGACY: EUROPEAN SOCIALISM By D*ICK MORRIS Published on TheHill.com on November 18, 2008 Printer-Friendly Version The results of the G-20 economic summit amount to nothing less than the seamless integration of the United States into the European economy. In one month of legislation and one diplomatic meeting, the United States has unilaterally abdicated all the gains for the concept of free markets won by the Reagan administration and surrendered, in toto, to the Western European model of socialism, stagnation and excessive government regulation. Sovereignty is out the window. Without a vote, we are suddenly members of the European Union. Given the dismal record of those nations at creating jobs and sustaining growth, merger with the Europeans is like a partnership with death. At the G-20 meeting, Bush agreed to subject the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and our other...
