| Whats your favorite pre-80's movie? or classic | | What is your favorite classic movie. I place it before the whole special effects era of the 80's. To me All the Presidents men is a classic. And my all time favorite has to be Casablanca. What is yours? I've heard gone with the wind is the all time highest grossing film when adjusted for inflation. | |
| | What's your take on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's implants? | | [i]So it's all over the news. After arriving from her foreign commiments, President GMA "self-quarantined" herself at the Asian Hospital. However, news leaked out that the supposed "self-quarantine" was actually because the silicone breasts implanted in her 20 years back were leaking and she needed to have them removed and replaced. Of course, her spokespeople vehemently denied the issue, with one even suggesting people take a good look at the president since one can easily tell if a woman's breasts were fake or not. Cerge Remonde even challenged people by saying if PGMA seems like a woman who would ever resort to such a thing. As a development to the news, the President's men finally admitted yesterday that PGMA did indeed undergo breast augmentation in the past. However, PGMA's deputy spokeswoman swears the breast implant procedure was done out of "medical necessity" and was not spurred by vanity. Okay.Medical necessity. Can they be more clear on this? What medical condition would require a breast implant procedure? I think since it's already out in the open and has become a public spectacle, they should at least make a clean... | |
| | Financial Times endorses Obama | | Well, that says a lot doesn't it? Granted, I don't take endorsements overly seriously because only I can decide who is the right person for me to support. But, once in a while, there will be an endorsement that catches my attention.[em]shocked[/em]Recently, there was the video put out by Ron Howard wherein he re-enacts roles he played on television while talking about the election. Also in the video were Andy Griffith and Henry Winkler. That got my attention because none of those three is known to be political activists in any way. They keep their politics private and allow others the same privilege. So, for them to get out and do this meant that they feltVERY strongly about the upcoming election. I'm more likely to listen to people who don't impose their opinions on me than others who are constantly shoving one perspective or another down my throat (regardless of side).[em]thumbdown[/em]Now comes the Financial Times, not exactly known, that I'm aware, for its left-leaning ways, openly supporting Obama for President. This even after "all the President's men" managed to secure a $700 billion bailout of Wall Street (who have proven themselves to be the leeches most... | |

| | new president.. | | could the new president of the philippines give us what we are hoping or just give us disappoinments? | |
| | President of the Philippines run for congress, what on earth is her reason? | | I need FOREIGN people to reply on this. The Philippines out-going President ran for congress and won. I just wanna ask you, WHY ON EARTH WOULD AN OUT-GOING PRESIDENT WANTS TO GO TO A LOWER POSITION LIKE CONGRESS? She was the most powerful person in country, then she run for congress, is it because there are things that she wasn't able to do when she was the president and now she'll do it in congress? HUH!!?
FYI: President in the Philippines has only one term allowed by Law.

| Mexican president Felipe Calderon critizes the AZ law | | Few days ago, the Mexican president came to our country and in front the US Congress and the president Obama, he critized the AZ law and stated his complete opposition to that "racist". All the Congress agreed with a stand-up applause. Do you think that this was appropiate or not?I believe that he shouldn't come here to tell us what to do or not. He should clean his own yard first! He is promoting the illegal immigration by telling their people not to come to Arizona because they will be arrested. He should promote a better and quality life to his people instead of waiting that we resolve his own country problems. But if our own President and Congress approve this kind of disrespectful actions against their Americans citizens, what else we can expect? We are not Americans racists, we are Fed-up Americans, enough is enough! | |
| | Mexico's President calls Az's Law discrimatory? | | Well the president of Mexico is visiting and putting in his two cents about the illegal immigrants law in AZ. He is calling it discrimatory. Really....how is that? How is it discrimatory to hold people accountable for breaking the law? Is it going to be discrimatory to hold ANYONE accountable for breaking any laws now? They are breaking the law....so they need to be held accountable. They knew when they crossed the border what would happen if they were caught. They showed a disreguard for the laws of this country, then dare us to hold them accountable for it...so aren't they discriminating against the US people and our country? It is holding people accountable for not following the law. The rest of us have to follow the laws of this country...why shouldn't they? If we break the law we get punished...why shouldn't they?
Can anyone please explain to me how Mexico...with some of the toughest immigration policies and punishments on record...can dare to tell us our laws are discrimatory or even tell us how we should run our country?
| | Will Noynoy make a good president? | | The question of who's going to be the next president is practically over and all that is needed is for Noynoy to be sworn in.For those of you who voted or did not vote for him, do you think he will make a good president? Will things change for the better? for the worse? or will the status quo be maintained?I am forever the skepticwhe it comes to chang ing things in our country but I am not giving up hope and he seems to be our best bet.But don't hold your breath though.[em]whistle[/em] | |
